Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson work great together seeing Twilight is like reading poetry out of a screen. When the director chose them as the main characters she knew no one else would be better for the parts. This movie was flawless in showing true Love can overcome all.
I enjoyed the movie and hope for the sequel soon.

I do remember the time when everyone was talking about this franchise and telling how awesome it is, but also hearing a lot of hatred to it at the same time. After seeing the trailer I thought the premise of it looked pretty lame but I gave it a chance when I didn't have anything else to do and wanted to take a closer look of it's creation.
So how was it? Well to be frankly it wasn't that good. Not even "so bad it's good" it really was that bad. The look of the movie is incredibly dull and the tone was not interesting at all. The story is just so unoriginal and it makes the vampire monsters look bad if you look how the author Stephenie Meyer did. The story feels like the author took the liberties to make the vampires (in her vision) look more immortal by turning them into this sort of human-diamond when they are in the sun and don't die? OK? I know it sounds pretty messed up but it really is. Not only is that one of the problems but the dialog is also very cheesy, unoriginal and poorly executed.
The characters are so boring and dull you really can't relate to them not to mention that some of them are ridiculous. The main girl Bella looks like she can't decide if she wants to be with the vampire Edward after learning to know him. That's one of the biggest flaws of this franchise, it looks like the characters seriously can't decide what they want! The romance is also very cheesy if not dull. I was actually starting to fall asleep when I got to see their love scenes because they wan't it to be passionate but manage to be dull than expected.
The acting isn't really that good or anything spectacular either. I really can't understand how this franchise has to be so dull. And I still think it is one of the most boring movies I've seen in my life.
Is it recommended? If your'e looking for an entertaining movie, please don't pick this. And yes it's true that it won the MTV Movie Awards for Best Movie, but it only won because the judges (have also admitted that they) wanted to protect the creation of it and it's fans. And I know that MTV Movie Awards is supposed to be meant for entertainment and pick the movie that certainly is entertaining. But I'm afraid that they made the missteps when giving the awards for one of the most boring franchise of all time.

Yes, it's a good film (from a 15 year old's perspective anyway) and I enjoyed it, but I've watched better ones. My favourite scene was the one where they all play baseball during the thunderstorm. I loved it. I really liked Carlisle, and Edward was quite good, but Bella just seems really. strange - stranger than the vampires. After watching this film, I decided I should read the books. I finished the first two, and I think they are amazing, so much better than the film - I couldn't put them down. So if you've already read the books, try to forget them for awhile and watch the film without expecting it to equal the books. If you haven't read the books yet, watch the film first then read, to avoid disappointment.
